BOARD OF DIRECTORS GENERAL MEETING MAY 5, 2018


MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 10:00 AM BY DEE COSTOSO FOLLOWED BY PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

PRESENT: DEE COSTOSO, JERRY BARBELLA, KATHY BECK, DIANNA BOWERS, CAROL PITMAN, SUE AMBROSE AND PRINCE OLANTUNJI

GUEST SPEAKER DONNA RADCLIFF FROM TECO/AIRTIGHT SYSTEMS NOT PRESENT

GENERAL MEETING MINUTES FOR APRIL 7TH WERE POSTED , MOTION TO ACCEPT BY CAROL PITMAN, SECONDED BY PRINCE OLANTUNJI

TREASURER’S REPORT READ BY SUE AMBROSE AND COMMITTEE REPORTS AS FOLLOWS:

MEMBERSHIP: CAROL PITMAN REPORTS TOTAL # OF MEMBERS UNCHANGED WITH THE ADDITION OF 2 NEW MEMBERS AND 1 RENEWAL, WITH MANY OUTSTANDING RENEWALS

BINGO: ROSE PANELLA READ APRIL’S REPORT AND SAID THAT A FEW “SPECIAL” BINGO NIGHTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED OVER SUMMER MONTHS WITH BIG PAYOUTS

WELCOME: KATHY BECK READ REPORT FROM PAULA SOMMERS; 3 NEW RESIDENTS WERE ISSUED WELCOME PACKETS

RAC: JERRY BARBELA REMINDED FORMS AVAILABLE IN WALL RACK BY HOA OFFICE DOOR

OTHER REPORTS: DEE COSTOSO STATED THAT ALL TAXES/AUDIT, ETC. ARE PAID AND UP TO DATE.

SHE SHARED THE RESIDENTS DELIGHT WITH THE COUNTRY DANCE NIGHT HELD LAST MONTH WITH ERIC LEE AT THE CH, OVER 120 TICKETS SOLD! SHE REMINDED RESIDENT “REQUEST FORMS” FOR OUTSIDE GRILL ARE IN WALL RACK BY HOA OFFICE. SHE ASKS ALL RESIDENTS TO PLEASE PREPARE
YOUR PROPERTY FOR CONTINUED INSPECTIONS.

ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NO UPCOMING EVENTS TO LIST, THE “MOVIE NIGHT” SCHEDULE IS CHANGED TO THE 3RD WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH. NEXT IS MAY 16TH.

STRAWBERRY RIDGE HOMEOWNER’S MEMBERSHIP

REASONS TO JOIN SRHOA: Strawberry Ridge Homeowners Association is the only legal body accepted by The State of Florida to act on behalf of all residents of our park. SRHOA meets regularly with management and negotiates on behalf of all residents. SRHOA constantly evaluates and analyzes ways and means to improve our quality of life. SRHOA retains the services of legal counsel, who assists SRHOA to operate in a legal manner.

SRHA is your watch dog on important items such as; rent increases, changes in Strawberry Ridge rules and regulations, and other services. Should it be deemed that one or more items is improper, SRHA would negotiate, mediate or, if necessary, recommend litigation to protect the residents of Strawberry Ridge.

SRHA is managed by a Board of Directors elected by the voting members and consists of seven Di-rectors including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Paid membership also gives you the privilege to vote on issues as required. The Board is empowered by law to act on behalf of all members. The board establishes committees to carry out specific duties and programs each year such as:

Welcoming, Entertainment, Finance & Audit, Membership, Rent, RAC (Resident Advisory Council)

SRHOA also sponsors many social events throughout the year. Monthly coffee and donuts, the 4th of July cookout, and other holiday events are FREE to all residents.

SRHA also maintains an office with posted hours when selling tickets for events located in the Activity Center on Strawberry Ridge Blvd.

Remember there is strength in numbers. Membership in SRHA is only $6.00 per year or $15.00 for three years. Our membership runs from April 1st of the current year to March 31st of the following year. This is an inexpensive way to protect your investment.
