BOARD OF DIRECTORS GENERAL MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 3, 2018


MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY DEE COSTOSO AT 10:04 AM, FOLLOWED BY PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

PRESENT: DEE COSTOSO, GERRY BARBELLA, KATHY BECK, CAROL PITMAN, DIANNA BOWERS.

KEITH STEVENS, PROPERTY MGR, SPOKE ABOUT SOLAR PANEL REPAIRS, EXTENDING USE OF OUTDOOR POOL. ALSO, STAGE CURTAINS HAVE BEEN ORDERED, AND NEW GAS GRILL FOR OUTDOOR POOL AREA TO BE ORDERED. FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS TO MULRENNAN GATE, COURT RESURFACING,
UPGRADES TO MAIN ENTRANCE SIGN , REPAIRS TO STORAGE LOT ENTRANCE, ACTIVITY CENTER POOL TABLE IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY. PLANS TO RE-INSTALL BULLETIN BOARD BY MULRENNAN & BIKE RACK BY CH. LIBRARY HAD A GOOD CLEANING AFTER INSPECTION DETERMINED NO ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES WERE PRESENT. NO DATE SET FOR NEW ARM/GATE AT MULRENNAN.
WORKING WITH STATE FOR POSSIBLE LEFT TURN PLAN AT ROUTE 60 ENTRANCE. RESIDENTS TO CALL OFFICE REGARDING TREE TRIM/REMOVAL. TREE SERVICE WAS SCHEDULED PER COUNTY REQUESTING CLEARANCE/ACCESS FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES FIRST. ALSO, MORE BENCHES ARE COMING.


MEETING MINUTES FOR JANUARY 6, 2018 WERE POSTED, MOTION TO ACCEPT KATHY BECK, SECOND CAROL PITMAN.

DEE COSTOSO READ THE TREASURER’S REPORT, MOTION TO ACCEPT DIANNA BOWERS, SECOND GERRY BARBELLA

BUSINESS: 

DEE COSTOSO NOTED THE SUCCESS OF NEW YEARS EVE PARTY AND OMELET BREAKFAST. SHE REMINDED EVERYONE TO HAVE VISIBLE HOUSE NUMBERS AND WORKING YARD LIGHTS AS WELL AS MEDICAL INFO POSTED ON FRIDGE. SHE REMINDED ALL CLUBS ARE WELCOME TO SELL 50/50 TICKETS AT EVENTS PROVIDED THEY SUBMIT PROFIT REPORTS TO CLUB PRESIDENT.

. FEBRUARY 10TH – WOODSHOP PANCAKE BREAKFAST
. FEBRUARY 13TH – VENDORS FAIR / KATHY BECK, 9-1 CH, $4 LUNCH, FREE COFFEE & GOODIES & PRIZES AND GIVEAWAYS. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, $3000.00+ EXPECTED VENDOR RECEIPTS, PICKLE BALL CLUB HOSTING LUNCH
. FEBRUARY 14TH -- BRIDGES COOKIE DECORATION/ 9:30-10:30 , FREE TO 15 PEOPLE, SIGN UP AT AC
. FEBRUARY 22ND – GREEN CLEANING SEMINAR , FREE, 1 PM
. FEBRUARY 23RD – MOVIE NIGHT AT THE RIDGE, RESIDENTS ONLY, FREE TICKETS AT HOA OFFICE. FEATURING “CASABLANCA” 6 PM, MOVIE AT 7 PM, POPCORN & NACHOS.  SNACKS WELOME, CAN BYOB
. MARCH 18TH – ST PADDYS DAY, “KILTED MAN” ENTERTAINMENT AT CH, 7-8, COFFEE & SWEETS. YOU MAY BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGES

STRAWBERRY RIDGE HOMEOWNER’S MEMBERSHIP

REASONS TO JOIN SRHOA: Strawberry Ridge Homeowners Association is the only legal body accepted by The State of Florida to act on behalf of all residents of our park. SRHOA meets regularly with management and negotiates on behalf of all residents. SRHOA constantly evaluates and analyzes ways and means to improve our quality of life. SRHOA retains the services of legal counsel, who assists SRHOA to operate in a legal manner.

SRHA is your watch dog on important items such as; rent increases, changes in Strawberry Ridge rules and regulations, and other services. Should it be deemed that one or more items is improper, SRHA would negotiate, mediate or, if necessary, recommend litigation to protect the residents of Strawberry Ridge.

SRHA is managed by a Board of Directors elected by the voting members and consists of seven Di-rectors including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Paid membership also gives you the privilege to vote on issues as required. The Board is empowered by law to act on behalf of all members. The board establishes committees to carry out specific duties and programs each year such as:

Welcoming, Entertainment, Finance & Audit, Membership, Rent, RAC (Resident Advisory Council)

SRHOA also sponsors many social events throughout the year. Monthly coffee and donuts, the 4th of July cookout, and other holiday events are FREE to all residents.

SRHA also maintains an office with posted hours when selling tickets for events located in the Activity Center on Strawberry Ridge Blvd.

Remember there is strength in numbers. Membership in SRHA is only $6.00 per year or $15.00 for three years. Our membership runs from April 1st of the current year to March 31st of the following year. This is an inexpensive way to protect your investment.
