STRAWBERRY RIDGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS GENERAL MEFETING APRIL 7, 2018

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 10:03 AM BY DEE COSTOSO , FOLLOWED BY PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

PRESENT: DEE COSTOSO, JERRY BARBELLA, DIANNA BOWERS, CAROL PITMAN, SUE AMBROSE  ABSENT: KATHY BECK, PRINCE OLANTUNJI

PRESIDENT DEE COSTOSO ANNOUNCED THE NEXT BOARD MEETING WILL BE ON APRIL 16TH.  THERE WILL BE NO BOARD MEETING IN MAY, BUT STARTING IN JUNE, THEY WILL MEET QUARTERLY.

SCOTT CARPENTER WAS DIRECTED TO DISTRIBUTE BALLOTS TO ALL RESIDENTS PRESENT IN ORDER TO VOTE ON CLOSING TIME FOR THE MULRENNAN GATE

GENERAL MEETING MINUTES MARCH 3, 2018, MOTION TO ACCEPT JERRY BARBELLA, 2ND CAROL PITMAN

TREASURER’S REPORT WAS READ BY SUE AMBROSE

CAROL PITMAN ANNOUNCED A TOTAL HOA MEMBERSHIP AT 144 TO DATE.

PAULA SOMERS REPORTED ALL ‘WELCOME BAGS’ AND LETTERS WERE UP TO DATE INCLUDING APRIL

DON GUGEL WAS HAPPY TO REPORT BINGO NUMBERS SHOWING GOOD ATTENTANCE

JERRY BARBELLA ANNOUNCED THE NEXT RAC MEETING WILL BE APRIL 24TH .  THE RAC WILL BE MEETING WITH MR. BOB YOUNG ON MAY 30TH AND THAT MEETING WILL BE CLOSED.

EVENTS:

WINE BOTTLE PAINTING CLASS IS FULL
APRIL 14TH – COUNTRY DANCE WITH ERIC LEE / CH 7:30 – 11:30PM / SNACKS AND SETUPS INCLUDED, BYOB. $8 ADVANCE TICKETS, $10 AT THE DOOR (50/50)
APRIL 28TH - MOVIE NIGHT – MOVIE TO BE DETERMINED 7PM
MAY 5TH - CINCO DE MAYO 1:00 OUTDOOR POOL – HOT DOGS PROVIDED, POT LUCK
MUSIC BY THE WATER WITH LEO THE DJ 5-9 PM AT OUTDOOR POOL
DEE ANNOUNCED ON APRIL 17TH, F L O W / WILL BE HERE 9:30 – 2 PM
DECISION FOR MULRENNAN GATE CLOSING TIME TO BE 8:00 PM. VOTES WERE TALLIED WITH A TOTAL
NUMBER OF 82. 64 VOTES “YES” (TO CLOSE AT 8PM) 18 “NO” ( TO REMAIN THE SAME)

STRAWBERRY RIDGE HOMEOWNER’S MEMBERSHIP

REASONS TO JOIN SRHOA: Strawberry Ridge Homeowners Association is the only legal body accepted by The State of Florida to act on behalf of all residents of our park. SRHOA meets regularly with management and negotiates on behalf of all residents. SRHOA constantly evaluates and analyzes ways and means to improve our quality of life. SRHOA retains the services of legal counsel, who assists SRHOA to operate in a legal manner.

SRHA is your watch dog on important items such as; rent increases, changes in Strawberry Ridge rules and regulations, and other services. Should it be deemed that one or more items is improper, SRHA would negotiate, mediate or, if necessary, recommend litigation to protect the residents of Strawberry Ridge.

SRHA is managed by a Board of Directors elected by the voting members and consists of seven Di-rectors including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Paid membership also gives you the privilege to vote on issues as required. The Board is empowered by law to act on behalf of all members. The board establishes committees to carry out specific duties and programs each year such as:

Welcoming, Entertainment, Finance & Audit, Membership, Rent, RAC (Resident Advisory Council)

SRHOA also sponsors many social events throughout the year. Monthly coffee and donuts, the 4th of July cookout, and other holiday events are FREE to all residents.

SRHA also maintains an office with posted hours when selling tickets for events located in the Activity Center on Strawberry Ridge Blvd.

Remember there is strength in numbers. Membership in SRHA is only $6.00 per year or $15.00 for three years. Our membership runs from April 1st of the current year to March 31st of the following year. This is an inexpensive way to protect your investment.
